Hey folks. Wanna come out and get your improv on in Highland Park?

TONIGHT! Thursday October 2nd, The Evangenitals and a bunch of crazy Improvisers (possibly you?) are hosting an open Improv Jam and Musical Jamboree in our experimental studio space: studio (experiment) at the York Studios in Highland Park.

The evenings festivities include:
Hammerspace Improv (featuring Juli Crockett of the Evangenitals (that's me!) and Patrick Ian Moore performing head-tripping long-form Improv) at 7pm

Open Improv Jam at 8pm. Everyone is invited to participate in long-form madness and making sh!t up. Let's do this.

And the Evangenitals will be playing an intimate audience-participation/open-rehearsal set at 9pm in preparation for our In Store performance at Rhino Records tomorrow and our headlining slot at the Eagle Rock Music Festival on Saturday night! Yee-haw!

Good times! Sing/play/dance along! Keep improvising! Everything/anything goes!

ALSO... the studio (experiment) space is going to be available for rehearsals, shows, readings, etc... so this would be a great opportunity to come and check out this space for your OWN future projects! :-)

$3 donation (no worries if you don't have any $, we're just trying to chip in for rent)

Whew! That's gonna be quite the whirlwind!

And for those of you who may be far from Los Angeles, here's some cyberspace stuff to reach out and touch you with:

**Evangenitals drummer David Hurlin just started an AWESOME new music blog and posted a BRILLIANT performance art/spoken word video on YouTube.
Check 'em out here:

**Evangenitals Henry Bermudez, Keith Lubow, and David Hurlin provided the live score for Juli Crockett's ponderous play "The Dawn of Quixote: Chapter The First" which was performed as a radio drama on KPFK. You can have a listen to this poetic meditation on Love, Idealism, and The Void here:

**And Juli started a VLOG. Oh dear Lord: http://www.youtube.com/user/julicrockett

Love is burning in our collective heart for you. Just for YOU!

Evangenitals & Improvisers at Mr T's Bowl in Highland Park

This super-awesome (though uncredited!?!) photo of the Evangenitals appeared in the September 25th - October 1st 2008 edition of LA Citybeat, page 10. Available right now on newsstands throughout Los Angeles.

It was quite a fun and weird show with costumes and improvisers and great crowd enthusiasm. We played with Mahi Gato & Piel and the whole evening was totally Boss.

I'm working on editing some video that was shot of the evening and it will be appearing on the Evangenitals YouTube Channel very soon!

Much Love,
Juli & the Evangenitals
