Seeing as many of the Evangenitals extended family of fans, friends, and free-loving frolickers are spread out all over the globe, and/or really busy, and/or broke or somehow otherwise unable to make it out to our live shows (mainly occurring in Los Angeles) I have gone ahead and posted a few tracks from last night's performance at Molly Malones on the Evangenitals website for your listening pleasure!

In other news, we just found out that we're going to be closing the show at the Eagle Rock Music Festival on Saturday October 4th. We will be playing on the main "Emerging" stage, with video projections and other theatrics, at 11pm. The last act! Yee-haw!
We'll be getting our act TIGHT and RIGHT by working it out at our home-base -- the infamous Mr T's Bowl in Highland Park -- for the next 3 Tuesdays, hosting music nights with various music-making friends.

On Tuesday June 24th (that’s tomorrow!) at 10:30pm The Evangenitals will be debuting a never-before-heard lineup of players at Molly Malone’s, immediately following the hotshot Los Angeles-based Johnny Cash tribute band “With a Bible and a Gun” at 9:30. It will be an awesome night of music, not too late, and it’s only $6 to see it!
(Note: this is not the Johnny Cash tribute band that Evangenital Juli has been singing with. That’s “Cash’d Out” of San Diego)
As a special incentive for attending this exciting show that will feature brand new songs and new versions of old classics, we are offering everyone who tells the doorman you’re there to see the Evangenitals a FREE “last supper” Evangenitals poster. There will also be complimentary bubbles available for your ambient pleasure.
On this glorious night the Evangenitals will feature Henry Bermudez on lead guitar, David Hurlin on drums, and our newest extended-family member Keith Lubow on bass. Lisa Dee will be shocking the world with her vocal harmonies (especially on our new Klezmer-inspired version of The Hole) and I, Juli Crockett, will be loving you with all my heart, whether you can make it to the show or not. Though I really hope you can make it.

There are exciting things going on in Evangenital-land, and a LOT of them. This weekend is a Nexus of sorts, with 3 shows happening on one night - none of them Evangenitals shows - yet all of them Evangenital-related! Let me explain...
Evangenitals lead singer Juli Crockett (that's me!) has just landed a new gig singing the June Carter Cash parts in the greatest Johnny Cash tribute band ever - Cash'd Out. (http://www.myspace.com/cashdout) Evangenitals drummer George Bernardo has been drumming with them for the past year, and this Saturday night - April 19th at 11pm - I will having my debut performance with Cash'd Out at the "Belly Up" in Solana Beach, CA. If you happen to be in that part of town, I would LOVE to have some friendly faces in the crowd cheering me on!
At the SAME TIME that night, Evangenitals crooner Lisa Dee will be joining our seemingly joined-at-the-hip buddy band ARTICHOKE (http://www.myspace.com/artichoketheband) at MOLLY MALONES for a sure-to-be-awesome show of bumble bee-filled joy. So if you're in THAT part of town, I highly recommend it. (If I weren't singing with Cash'd Out that night, I'd be performing with Artichoke too!)
AND... down at the iO WEST on Hollywood Blvd, Evangenitals flier artist and videographer Patrick Ian Moore will be performing long-form improv with HAMMERSPACE (http://www.myspace.com/hammerspace_improv) - a group that I, Juli Crockett, am normally a part of, yet I simply can't be in three places at once at 11pm on April 19th! Not yet, anyhow! So... if you like to laugh and happen to be in THAT part of town, GO SEE HAMMERSPACE! IT'S FREE!

THIS IS IT! We are nearing the big day when the Evangenitals and The 1
Second Film crew departs for a full month on the Road to Oprah.

THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at Molly Malones we will be playing our last show
in Los Angeles before our departure. It's the last chance to grab an
advanced copy our new album "Everlovin" and give us hugs, kisses, and
well-wishes to carry with us on the long, long 10,000 mile drive
across the US and Canada.
It would be great to see as many friendly faces as possible before
our departure (and to be perfectly honest... we could really use the
money!!)
The show is only $6. We play at 11pm, and we have a real special

The last time we played Molly Malone's, a bunch of you turned out to see a legendary set on amazing stage with great sound and successfully helped us to win our spot as "Lords of Hollywood" for a day. JT the booker was so pleased he has invited us back for another dose of Evangenital joy, this Saturday night!
Now, here's the catch: we want to out-do the last appearance. So
I've got a proposition for you: if we draw 50+ people to Molly Malone's to see the Evangenitals practice their A-game for the upcoming Universal City gig and Road to Oprah tour I hereby declare that I, Juli Crockett, will have a star in the HEAVENS ABOVE named EVANGENITALS in your honor. Our own STAR, people! That will help
when the earth shakes us off its back like a bad case of fleas. We can all go to our STAR!
Mark my words! And mark the time to our tunes with snapping fingers,
bobbing heads, and dancing feet at our triumphant return to Molly

Wish Us Luck! (In Person!) :-)
Tonight (Saturday May 19th) at 11pm the Evangenitals will play at
Molly Malones for the first time.
It will also be the first time that I, Juli Crockett, have performed
an Evangenitals/Evangina show without my harmonic co-Genital Lisa
Dee.
Why, you ask? Well, Lisa Dee is up in San Francisco RIGHT NOW
registering to run in the Bay to Breakers marathon tomorrow morning!
We, the Evangenitals, however are not just a physical band, but a
spiritual one as well... so though an Evangenital may not be with us
in the flesh, they are always with us in spirit.
So, if possible, come on out tonight and help us channel the spirit
of Lisa Dee (and George Bernardo, too, as he's off playing another gig
tonight as well!) at Molly Malones.
Juli could use all the love that can fit in the joint. And so could
Brett, as he'll be singing some songs and chiming in on the Harmony
Express.
This unique lineup consisting of Jason Chesney on Bass, Bryan Landers
on Banjo, Dave "Salad" Salardino on Drums, Brett Lyda on Lead Guitar
